Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SSAN Care Vantage ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Description of Service
SSAN Care Vantage is a healthcare management platform that provides tools for patient adherence tracking, clinical staff management, medication management, pharmacy sync, and AI-powered health insights. The Platform is offered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time with reasonable notice.
User Accounts & Registration
To access the Platform you must create an account with accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use or security breach
- Ensuring that all users in your organisation comply with these Terms
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or professional healthcare standard
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
- Harvest, scrape, or collect data from the Platform without prior written consent
- Impersonate any person, organisation, or clinical role
- Use the Platform for any unlicensed clinical practice or medical diagnosis
Healthcare Data & Compliance
The Platform handles sensitive personal health information (PHI). By using the Platform you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable healthcare data protection laws, including Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019
- Obtain all necessary patient consents before entering health data into the Platform
- Ensure clinical staff using the Platform hold appropriate professional licences
- Not use the Platform as a substitute for professional clinical judgment
SSAN Care Vantage acts as a data processor on your behalf. Our data processing obligations are detailed in our Privacy Policy.
Subscription & Payment
Access to paid features requires an active subscription. By subscribing you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees on time via MTN MoMo, VISA, or corporate invoice as selected
- Provide accurate billing information and keep it up to date
- Allow us to charge your chosen payment method on the agreed billing cycle
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. Refunds are governed by our 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods after the guarantee window.
Intellectual Property
All content, software, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to SSAN Care Vantage. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform solely for your internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. AI-generated insights are advisory in nature and do not constitute medical advice. Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of qualified healthcare professionals.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SSAN Care Vantage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the three months preceding the claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate access to the Platform at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda. For international clients, disputes may be referred to binding arbitration under the rules of the Kampala International Arbitration Centre (KIAC).
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
